Month In Review: February 2015

monthinreviewWell, February did not go exactly as planned for me.  I was hoping to read more than I did but I was so busy between work and working on a project for my cousin’s wedding shower present that I didn’t have a lot of extra time.  In other news, I joined a new book blog and shortly after was invited to join two more!  March is going to be super busy trying to read book club books AND NetGalley titles and print ARCs.

After looking through all of the books currently in my possession, I’ve decided to put myself on a book buying ban for a few months.  The one exception to this will be my town’s annual hospital auxiliary book sale.  I always wait until the last day when it is the $5 bag sale.  Last year I ended up with 4 bags!  More than half of which I haven’t read yet.  So this year I’m going to limit myself to just one bag.  Otherwise there will be no books purchased for the next few months.

  1. Wow, you’re doing great with your challenges! And I wish I had a book sale like that closeby… Although it’s probably better for my TBR pile that there isn’t. 😉

  2. That book sale sounds awesome, I wish I had something like that where I live. I was looking at your TBR Pile Challenge post and it’s such a great idea. I’ve been trying to come up with ways to finally get to reading books that I added to my TBR list awhile ago. I always end up finding books that sound a little better and they all just seem to get lost!

    • I’ve been thinking about making a TBR jar as well to help out for those times when I have no idea what I want to read next. I usually base my next read on my mood though so I might have to have a few different jars or color coordinate the paper haha

      • I seen a jar for picking your next read on Pinterest and it looked like a neat idea. Even trying to organize your next read is difficult, haha! The color coordinate paper sounds cool though. That way you can pick the genre without “cheating” and seeing what the book actually is in case you’re not in the mood for that type.

    • It was really good! I will definitely have to check out Going Clear. I have a fascination with these kinds of crazy (in my opinion) religions and cults. Thanks for the recommendation! 🙂

    • I get into reading grooves where I just read and read. Then those crash and I pull into a rut lol. I’m currently in a bit of a rut because I’ve got so many other things going on right now.
