Summertime Madness Tag

Better late than never!  I just found that I was tagged by Ashley @ Dear World… to do the Summertime Madness Tag!  As you are reading this I am out of state for my little brother’s wedding!  Ah I can’t believe he’s getting married! It’s going to be a hot humid weekend where I will be so it is the perfect time for a summertime post.

1: Show a book with a Summery Cover!

So even though I didn’t really like this book, it has the perfect summery cover!  The book takes place in the summer as well so it’s an all-around summery kind of book.

2: Pick one fictional place that would be the perfect destination for your Summer Vacation!

A little more than half of this book takes place in Nantucket.  I have never been there but I think it would make for a really fun summer vacation.  Spend time at the beach, bike around the island, etc.

3: You’re about to go on a flight to your Summer Vacation. But you want to read a book that lasts for the whole flight, so what novella do you choose?

I don’t really read novellas, not a fan of short stories.  This book is pretty short and I’ve read it before but have been wanting to read it again.  It wouldn’t take me very long to read so I would go with this one.

4: You have a case of Summertime Sadness. What happy book do you pick up to shine a smile on your face?

I had so many smiles on my face when I read this book so I would definitely choose this one.  Simon and Blue are just too cute that you can’t help but smile while reading.

5: You’re sitting at the beach all alone…which fictional character would be your beach babe?

Without a doubt in my mind… Jamie Fraser!  He would definitely be my perfect beach babe – good looks and personality,  yes please!

6: To match your ice cream you want an icy cool sidekick! Which fictional sidekick do you pick?

I would love to have Celaena Sardothian as my sidekick.  She’s a total badass but she also loves to read  and would do anything to protect her friends and do the right thing.

I am officially tagging anyone who wants to do this tag!

  1. Well we are going to share #5. LOL

Great picks all around. I did like We Were Liars, but admit I wish the ending was different. It was a twist for sure, but I would’ve rather it played out in a more suspenseful way. Love me some Sookie Stackhouse, so that’s a great pick for a plane read! I can’t help but talk like her for a couple hours after watching the show though and it drives my husband mad. Hahahaha.
