October was a bit of a dud for reading. I was so excited for my Halloweeny TBR but then I ended up not being in the mood to read for much of the month. Perhaps I was a little too excited. I’ve already surpassed my goal for the year so I’m not too upset about it. There will be plenty of time for me to read in November now that I’m back in the mood.

I’ve been in the process of listening to the first four books in the Outlander series as a refresher before I decide to read The Fiery Cross (book 5) in December. I have really enjoyed listening to them. The narrator, Davina Porter, is perfect. I’m more than halfway through with Drums In Autumn.
What books did you read in October? I hope you had a better reading month than I did!
Happy November and happy reading!
I’m glad you’re enjoying the Outlander audiotapes. I plan on rereading Dragonfly in Amber before the series starts back up. Drums in Autumn is one of my favorite of the series. Hope you have a better reading month in November!

Drums in Autumn is one of my favorites too! At least for the 4 that I have read ha-ha. I can’t wait for the show to start back up.

I’m sorry about your book slump, and glad it’s getting better! 6 is still a good number! I didn’t get as many suspense read in October as I hoped. Just not enough time.

Same thing happened to me in October. I was so excited about October and my TBR, but ended up just not really wanting to read too much or the books on my TBR, lol.

It sucks when that happens lol.

I’m still doubting whether I should just try the audiobook of Outlander instead of reading it myself…I’m not a big fan of audiobooks, but in this case it might help me finish the series sooner. I hope you will have a great November! 🙂

I’ve never really been into audiobooks because I find it hard to pay attention but I just love the Outlander audiobooks. I think the narrator reads it perfectly.

I think you did ok. Sometimes I find audiobooks easier going if I’m finding I’m in a bit of a slump.
I just finished Death by Dangerous by Olly Jarvis. (one of the best books this year).
Amanda.

Keep meaning to try outlander. How would you sum it up in one sentence?

Oh god, that’s kind of difficult lol. Woman accidentally travels back 200 years and while trying to get back meets a man who makes her rethink trying to return to her own time all while experiencing life in the Scottish Highlands in 1743. So kind of a long sentence but that’s a pretty good snapshot of what the first book is about.

I’m sorry to hear you had a reading slump in October. I had a slow month too as I wasn’t very well. My favourite read was the classic Sherlock Holmes mystery The Hound of the Baskervilles. Happy November and reading to you too 🙂

That’s alright, I’m coming back strong now. This month so far I have already finished the last half of Six of Crows, started and finished A Madness So Discreet and started Attachments. I hope you’re feeling better!
