Shelf Control – November 12, 2015

Shelf Control

Shelf Control is a weekly feature hosted by Bookshelf Fantasies.  Consider this a variation of a Wishing & Waiting post… but looking at books already available.  Take a look at your shelves and/or Kindle and post about a book you own but haven’t read yet.

871589Title: The Fallon Blood
Author:  Reagan O’Neal (aka Robert Jordan)
Published: December 31st 1995 by Forge (first published January 1st 1980)
Length: 381 Pages

Goodreads Summary: Michael Fallon, bonded servant, with trouble in Ireland just behind him, comes to the New World with one desire—to found a dynasty that need bend the knee to none.

In Charleston, South Carolina, Fallon begins. From bondsman to rice planter, from planter to privateer; from the beautiful, disturbingly sensual Elizabeth Carver to the lovely and loving Gabrielle Fourrier; from peace to the greatest Revolution the world had ever seen—a novel beating with the passion of The Fallon Blood.

How I Got It: I bought it.

When I Got It: I had the mass market paperback but since it is Robert Jordan decided I wanted to have hardcover so I replaced my copy a few months ago.

Why I Want To Read It: I love Robert Jordan’s The Wheel of Time series and I also love historical fiction so the meeting of RJ + historical fiction sounds like something perfect for me.  And the main character comes from Ireland (my absolute favorite country).
