Goodreads Summary: As a young dragonlord, Ged, whose use-name is Sparrowhawk, is sent to the island of Roke to learn the true way of magic. A natural magician, Ged becomes an Archmage and helps the High Priestess Tenar escape from the labyrinth of darkness. How I Got It: I bought it used at Half Price Books.
When I Got It: 2014
Why I Want To Read It: Despite my love of the fantasy genre, I had never actually heard of Ursula Le Guin until I read and watched The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler. Grigg, the male character in the book club, LOVED Ursula Le Guin and really wanted Jocelyn to read her books. In 2014 I finally picked up a copy of this book but still haven’t gotten around to reading it. Hopefully I will have time to read it this year.
This has been on my to-read list (and on my shelf) for years! If you’re reading it, maybe I will too. 🙂
