WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words.
Each week we answer the following three questions:
-What have you recently finished reading?
-What are you currently reading?
-What are you reading next?

Two weeks ago in my last WWW Wednesday post, I showed the books I was currently reading because I didn’t have a lot of spare time for reading that week due to my California trip.  This week will be back to normal with the  3 W’s.

I finished The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner as a part of Stefani @ Caught Read Handed‘s special ARC tour.  It was so cool!  She passed around her personal ARC copy to us and as we read we added our own page flags to the parts that we liked.  Such a cool idea!

I also started and finished Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell.  It is a short story published in the UK for World Book Day.  I had to get myself a copy because I love Rainbow so I ordered one from Book Depository.  Stay tuned at the end of the month for my book haul post for a funny story about actually receiving it.  And last night I stayed up almost 2 hours past the usual time I go to bed for work with a stomachache but that also allowed me to finish Truthwitch!  I just could not put that book down!  It was so good!

This morning I started reading Stars Above by Marissa Meyer.  I didn’t get very far yet but so far the first short story is really interesting!  I have two ARCs also in the works at the moment.  The Last Days of Magic by Mark Tompkins is from Penguin’s First To Read program.  Again, I’m not very far into it and I only have 21 days left to read it before it expires so I’m feeling the pressure.  BUT it is very good so far!  I love the imagery and writing.  Plus the story is 100% fascinating and I love that it is set in Ireland, my one true love.  The other ARC is The Progeny by Tosca Lee that I got via Edelweiss.  I haven’t made any progress on this one for awhile.  Not because it’s boring though.  I’ve just had so much other stuff going on and I’ve been wanting to stay clear of the pressure I feel when I read ARCs.

Up next, I will be preparing myself for The Winner’s Kiss release by finally reading book 2!  With series like these, I find it very hard to wait so long between books so I have saved book 2 until closer to the final books release.  So excited to see what’s in store for Kestrel and Arin.

What have you been reading lately?

  2. I hope you continue to have more time and enjoy your reading this week. I recently finished reading the charming, children’s classic The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame, and moved straight on to another one; Five Children and It by Edith Nesbit 🙂 I am also currently reading The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness.
