Is March really almost over? Not that I’m complaining because that means SPRING! I’m very excited for the weather to be warmer every day. So this month’s haul was a lot more than I had planned but what can you do.
On my trip to California at the beginning of the month I got a few books at some local book stores.
At Feldman’s Books I found two older mass markets to add to my Outlander collection.
At Kepler’s Books, I was given an ARC of The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas. I also scored a scratch-and-dent copy of Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys for less than $7.
My first preorder of the month came in special from Parnassus Books in Nashville, TN. I really wanted a personalized signed copy. It is such a good book you guys! I highly recommend that you check it out.
My OwlCrate came in and the theme was Writer’s Block. I was a little sad that the book for the month was The Serpent King since I already got my preorder but everything else in the box was awesome. I ended up selling my OwlCrate copy of TSK to Half Price Books.
I joined a new book club on Goodreads. April is the first month and the first book we read is going to be Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. I am really looking forward to reading this and discussing it with everyone in the book club. If you’re interested in joining, it’s called The Revolving Shelf.
From Book Outlet, I was SUPER excited to find Someday, Someday, Maybe by Lauren Graham. I am a HUGE Gilmore Girls fan and I have wanted to read this one for so long but it was kind of expensive. I also got The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon, Half Bad by Sally Green and The Black Cauldron by Lloyd Alexander. I actually read Half Bad last year and didn’t really like it but I had this feeling come over me that I need to give it another chance and it was only a few dollars for the hardcover so I figured, what the hell.
I was so excited when I found out that they were coming out with new tie-in editions of Dragonfly In Amber for season 2 of Outlander. I bought the mass market at Target. Then I also found out that they were making a new tie-in edition of Outlander so I ordered the trade paperback of both the new tie-ins from Amazon. Unfortunately the new Outlander tie-in has the same ISBN as the original tie-in so they sent me the original. I only had that one in the mass market so I just decided to keep the trade paperback as well.
So last Friday I had the day off work so I went on a bit of a shopping spree. I found the new tie-in of Outlander that I wanted at Barnes and Noble so of course I had to buy a copy. I love this tie-in cover so much more than the original. I’m normally not a fan of tie-in covers but it’s Outlander…. Enough said. And at Half Price Books I found Royal Wedding to complete my Princess Diaires collection. I also decided to upgrade my Song of Ice and Fire books to trade paperbacks and managed to find 3 of the 5 there.
I also upgraded my copy of The Winner’s Curse from paperback to hardcover. Then I bought The Winner’s Crime and preordered The Winner’s Kiss. I am currently reading The Winner’s Kiss and am totally loving it.
So those are all of the books that I acquired over the past month. Next month should be a lot lighter. I have two April pre-orders and a couple of orders at Book Outlet that will be arriving in April. I am really looking forward to reading all of these books. Well at least the ones I haven’t read yet 🙂
Wow, this is awesome! Great month of books! I can’t wait for you to read Salt to the Sea and see what you think of it. Great deal on that one!

I am so excited for that one. I’ll hopefully get to it in the next couple of months. I’ve been in the mood for some good historical fiction lately.

The Winner’s trilogy looks so pretty in Hardback. I really want to read it but I’m going to wait until the third book is out before I start.
