WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words.
Each week we answer the following three questions:
-What have you recently finished reading?
-What are you currently reading?
-What are you reading next?

Within the last week I finished two amazing books!  The Rose and the Dagger was so beautiful and exactly what I was looking for to end this fabulous duology.  The Crown’s Game was one of my most anticipated reads and it proved to be as great as I was hoping it would be.  I loved the characters and the story reminded me of The Night Circus, which I absolutely adored.

After The Crown’s Game, I had planned to start A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas but I had a bit of a book hangover so I decided to start on something lighter.  I had never read the Percy Jackson series or even really heard about it until I started blogging.  It was published when I was transitioning from high school to college so it was never on my radar.  Alas, I read almost 30% of the book and just could not get into it.  I didn’t connect with the characters and the only thing I found myself wondering was whether or not I was right in my guess as to who Percy’s father was.  I ended up just looking it up to appease my curiosity so I could move on to another book (I was right btw).

I’m almost done with the New Spring audiobook re-read.  I wasn’t in the mood for audiobooks for awhile so I hadn’t made any progress on it until yesterday.  After I DNFed Percy Jackson, I decided that I had better start on Me Before You by Jojo Moyes.  I HAVE to read the book before I see the movie so I wanted to get this read since the movie comes out next week.  I am nearly done with it and it is breaking my heart!  I’m going to have an interesting time not blubbering like a baby at my lunch break today when I’ll hopefully be able to finish.

As for what’s up next…. I’m not entirely sure what kind of mood I will be in after finishing Me Before You so a lot of that will depend on my mood.  But I have a stack of books on the window seat of my bedroom that I am concentrating my efforts on for now.  So it will be one of the books you see in this photo. *I have already read And Then There Were None, Unspoken, and obviously have just DNFed The Lightning Thief so disregard those two books*

Beginning June 1st, a week from today I will be starting a buddy read of Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson with my Ninjaottersox ladies!  Any recommendations as to what I should choose from these stacks would be much appreciated!  I’m looking forward to reading them all but just not sure what one I want next.  I will probably also post this to Instagram and Twitter looking for suggestions. Comment below on your vote for my next read! 🙂

  1. I thought The Rose and the Dagger brought the story to an end really well too. And it’s so nice to read a duology for a change.
That’s an AMAZING stack of books. If I had to choose I’d go for one I’m dying to read: The Song of Achilles. It’s on my priority list and I will get to it this year (she says optimistically). Everyone raves about it.

    • It was definitely a nice change of pace to have a duology rather than a series. Sometimes it’s just nice to wrap things up faster before thinga have a chance to go wrong haha.
I have heard so many amazing things about The Song of Achilles, too! I had a feeling it would be one of the ones chosen when I asked the question 😊

  2. I’ve heard The Love that Split the World is really good! I want to read the Daughter of Smoke and Bones series at some point, too.

Great reading week! Sorry Percy didn’t work out for you – I know I wouldn’t be able to get into that series. I want to try Me Before You again. I picked it up a few years back and couldn’t get into it, but I’d like to read it with all the hype surrounding it! Glad to hear you’re enjoying it!

  3. That’s too bad you didn’t enjoy The Lightning Thief. I love that series, but I know it’s not for everyone. I’ve been eyeing Me Before You for quite a while, and it has been recommended to me, but I have yet to pick it up. One day. Thanks for stopping by my post earlier. 🙂
