It’s that time again! Bout of Books week is coming up tomorrow! Bout of Books is a super low-key readathon where you have an entire week to read as much as you want to. I’ve lost count of how many Bout of Books that I have participated in officially and unofficially. Many of the past ones I have some conflicts that won’t allow me to fully take advantage of this week of reading and this round is no exception but I am still going to give it a go and read as much as I can, while I can. This coming weekend we are heading down to visit my brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew. I am SO excited for it so I probably won’t get much reading in on Friday through Sunday but I don’t care at all because I’ve been waiting so long to finally get the time to go down for a visit.

The Bout of Books readathon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It’s a weeklong readathon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 17th and runs through Sunday, August 23rd in YOUR time zone. Bout of Books is low-pressure. All reading-in-place times, Twitter chats, and exclusive Instagram challenges are completely optional. I did put together a loose TBR for the week but am not fully committing myself to read these books and only these books. If my mood changes, then I will choose something else.

  • Until I Met You by Tari Faris (ARC from Revell Books)
  • Clap When You Land by Elizabeth Acevedo
  • Winterwood by Shea Ernshaw
  • The Last Flight by Julie Clark
  • Home Before Dark by Riley Sager

I don’t really have any goals for this week beyond trying to read at least a little bit everyday even if it’s just 10 minutes before bed. I’m really looking forward to reading more this week though so I’m sure I’ll be able to read at least one book from start to finish.
