Hi!  I’m Maren!  For as long as I can remember, I have had a love for books.  The stories, the characters, the feel of the pages, and the smell…  Gets me every time.  Walking in to a book store or library is one of the best feelings in the world.  Breathe in the smell, take in the sight of shelves and shelves of books…  My paradise.

Other than my love for books, I also enjoy watching movies and TV shows, going to concerts, hiking, photography and just being with my friends and family.

    This is a novel that addresses universal human concerns: What happens after death? What does it mean to live a full life? How could a loving God allow unspeakable tragedy to befall an individual? As described above, the novel follows one man’s journey through the grieving process, from despair to acceptance, and I believe it is a story that a lot of people can connect to.

    I enjoy your reviews and wanted to offer my own novel for your review consideration. The Confessor’s Wife is historical fiction, and takes place in Eleventh Century England. It’s about Edith of Wessex, wife to King Edward the Confessor. Daughter to a powerful earl, wife to a king, sister to another king, Edith’s story has only been told in the footnotes of THEIR history, Until now. CW has all the elements you’d expect in the Anglo Saxon court: family loyalty, treason, intrigue, murder – and Edith is in the centre of it.
