Well it’s been about 2 months since my last WWW post! I hadn’t really been doing much reading with everything going on with our house stuff in the last couple of months.  But I started reading again last week and it’s been pretty great.

I did an audiobook re-read of Anne of Green Gables. It was a really delightful narration done by Rachel McAdams.  It’s been a long time since I last read Anne of Green Gables so it was really enjoyable to relive that story.  I also read Days of Blood and Starlight, which is book 2 of the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor. I didn’t like it as much as book 1 but I still really liked it.  Then I picked up my ARC of Night of Cake and Puppets which will be published as an illustrated hardcover on September 12th! The illustrations that were available in the ARC were stunning so I can’t wait to see the rest when the final copy is released! Plus I love Zuzana and Mik so I loved getting to read this story of them.

Slowly but surely I am continuing on my reread of Outlander.  I read a little bit last night and if I hadn’t stayed up late the last two nights, I probably would have stayed up a little bit longer to keep reading.  This morning I continued on in the eARC of The Dreadful Tale of Prosper Redding.  It is a middle grade novel that will be published next Tuesday! I don’t normally read a lot of middle grade anymore but I took a chance on this because of AB and so far I am really enjoying it!

Up next I have a slew of ARCs that will be publishing in early October that I plan to read so I have plenty of time to get through them and post reviews.  Ringer publishes on October 3rd so I will probably start with that one next. The next three (The Rules of Magic, The Hollow Girl, and All the Crooked Saints) all publish on October 10th which is why I want to make sure I have plenty of time!

Currently ReadingFor the past week I have been savoring Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff.  Easily my most anticipated novel of the year, I didn’t want to rush through it.  I’m almost finished with it now and I don’t want it to end.  If you didn’t already have The Nevernight Chronicles on your radar, get it there now and start reading Nevernight so you’re ready for Godsgrave when it publishes in September.  I am also part way into No Plain Rebel by M.C. Frank, the sequel to No Ordinary Star.  I love the two main characters in this story and am really looking forward to where this book goes.

Up NextUp next I have two review copies that I will be reading.  I am excited for both!  First off will be The Heirs by Susan Rieger.  It sounds like a really interesting family drama novel.  After that I will be reading The Whole Way Home by Sarah Creech.  It’s been a little while since I’ve read a contemporary romance.  This one reminds me of Nicholas Sparks mixed with the movie Country Strong.

Recently FinishedLast Thursday I started my summer reading challenge.  It’s called the 20 Books of Summer challenge and it is hosted by Cathy @ 746 Books.  Check out my TBR post here for more info on this challenge.  Since then I have read two of the books from my selected TBR – one YA and one adult.  So far I think I’m on a good track to complete this challenge.  On average I would need to read 1.5 books every week so I’m off to a great start with two books complete in the first week.  Let’s hope that I can keep that pace up!

I was a little disappointed with The Sun Is Also A Star.  It wasn’t as good as I was hoping it would be, but maybe that was just my own hype getting in the way because I know lots of people loved it.  Bad Mommy was a total whirlwind of crazy! Definitely an interesting story with intriguing characters!

Currently I am reading Everland.  I got this book a long time ago in an Owlcrate box and haven’t picked it up until now.  It is also on my challenge TBR.  So far I’m not really feeling the book one way or the other.  I’m not that far into it though so we’ll see how it goes.  I also started an ARC that I got last week.  It releases on June 20th otherwise I probably would put it off longer haha.

Up NextUp next I’m not really sure what book I will choose.  I have a couple of ARCs that I need to read soon but I also want to keep up on my challenge.  Decisions, decisions…  So from my main challenge TBR I still have 17 other books to choose from.

What have you been reading lately?  Any suggestions on which book I should read next from my above TBR?

Recently FinishedI’ve been having a pretty good reading week since last Wednesday.  I’m finished The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon, book 3 of The Bone Season series.  It was shorter than the first two but so intense!  I’ve also been working on getting caught up on my ARCs.  I finished The Jane Austen Project which I reviewed on Monday, and Manderley Forever which I reviewed yesterday.

Currently ReadingCurrently, I am doing a re-read of Nevernight via audiobook.  I also started an ARC of He Said/She Said yesterday.  Before I started my Nevernight re-read, I was listening to my re-read of An Echo in the Bone.  I will be continuing with that after I finish listening to Nevernight.

Up NextUp next I have one more ARC I want to try and fit in before the end of the month. The ARC is of Woman No. 17.  I read the author’s other book, California, and really enjoyed it so I’m really looking forward to reading this one.

Recently I finished the ARC of Seeking Mansfield by Kate Watson.  It was a cute YA Jane Austen retelling of Mansfield Park.  I just posted my review today which you can read here. I also got on an audiobook re-read kick so I checked out a bunch from the library.  In the past week I finished Safe Haven, The Last Song, The Longest Ride, and The Choice, all by Nicholas Sparks.  I’m a sucker for his books even though they are corny as hell.

Currently I am continuing my read of Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor.  I finally have some free time to read a bit and I am loving every second of this book.  The characters and world are so vivid and the writing is beautiful.  I can’t get enough.  I’m also continuing my audiobook re-read kick with A Bend in the Road by Nicholas Sparks.

Up next I’ll be starting the ARC for The Jane Austen Project.  It was published yesterday so I’m a little behind.  I also loaded up my library queue with some more audiobook re-reads.  As far as print books go, I’ll HOPEFULLY have my copy of A Court of Wings and Ruin today or tomorrow so as soon as I finish Strange the Dreamer, I’ll be reading that immediately.
