30 Day Movie Challenge – Day 28

30 Day Book ChallengeDay 28: A book that makes you laugh

This post is going to be a short one.  I injured my hand at work so it’s not very comfortable typing or doing anything with my right arm.

For this post I am going to use the last book I read that made me laugh.  And that would be Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling.

If you’re looking for a good laugh and finding things in common with a celebrity, check out this book!

30 Day Book Challenge – Day 19 & 20

30 Day Book ChallengeOops!  I totally forgot to do the book challenge post yesterday!  Guess I’ll have to double up today!

Day 19: Your favorite book of all time

This one was already kind of given away on Day 11.  Mansfield Park by Jane Austen.  I love the main character, Fanny Price.  The family members all have their own quirky personalities.  Definitely my favorite book of all time.

Day 20: A guilty pleasure book

I’m going to have to go with a series of books that were turned into a TV show.  I got into the TV show before I read the books.  I like the show a lot so I decided I wanted to read the books.  The show seems to be pretty loosely based on the books.  Different characters, physical descriptions, setting, etc.  I like the books but definitely don’t brag or broadcast that I like them.  What can I say?  I’m a sucker for vampires.

30 Day Book Challenge – Day 4

30 Day Book ChallengeDay 4: A book you thought you wouldn’t like but ending up loving

This question was kind of easy for me.  I put off reading this book for a long time, mainly for one reason.  I do not like reading books that involve cancer.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green

My younger brother was diagnosed with cancer when he was 16.  Our family went through a very hard time because of this.  He beat it and his now almost 24 years old!  But ever since then I just don’t like reading books that involve cancer because it brings me back to that time.

My best friend read it and told me how good it was.  We have very similar taste in books so I decided to just give it a try.  She loaned it to me and I read it in one day.  I could not put it down.  It was definitely a tearjerker.  The first time I see this book in a Half Price Books clearance section I am snatching it up.  I haven’t seen the movie yet but I’m really looking forward to snuggling up in a blanket and watching it.  Alone, because I’m sure I’ll cry like a baby!

Do you have any books you didn’t think you would like but ended up loving?
