My Life In Books

paper-1100254_1920

I saw this great post on 746 Books and thought it would be really fun to try myself.  The goal is to choose my favorite book published each year from the time I was born to the present year.  I did have some struggles because apparently I haven’t read many books published in the 80’s and early 90’s.  And in the later 2000s I also had trouble because I had read so many good books.  Since it is only April and I haven’t read many 2017 releases yet I will only be going up to 2016.

My Life In Books

My Life In Books!

Thanks two of my favorite ladies, Ashley @ Dear World… and Alina @ Radiant Reads for tagging my in this fun tag!  I had a lot of fun looking through my books to find titles for the answers.  Tonight I’m looking forward to marathoning a few horror movies while I clean our main floor.  This was a fun little break while my mother-in-law stopped over to bring us pumpkins from the family farm!  Now it officially feels like fall is here now that we have our pumpkins!  I’ll be giving two of them to my parents.

#1: Find a book for each of your initials.IMG_20151002_184400My initials are MEG so I went with 3 books I own that are on my TBR list:

  • The Maze Runner by James Dashner
  • Euphoria by Lily King
  • Graceling by Kristin Cashore

#2: Count your age along your bookshelf.  Which book is it?IMG_20151002_184544I’m 28… I used my short living room bookshelf and came up with this book about the world of The Wheel of Time.  I am really excited because the official Wheel of Time Encyclopaedia is being released in November!

#3: Pick a book set in your city/state/country.IMG_20151002_184642I’m from Minnesota and the entire Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater takes place in my home state!

#4: Pick a book that represents a destination you would love to travel to.IMG_20151002_184755I am DYING to go to Ireland and the Cousin’s O’Dwyer trilogy by Nora Roberts take place there.

#5: Pick a book that’s your favorite color.IMG_20151002_185752I love almost every shade of green but these are two of my favorite shades and also just happen to be a part of my favorite series.  I have read Voyager, but not An Echo In The Bone.

#6: Which book do you have the fondest memories of?IMG_20151002_184913This was one of my favorite books growing up.  I’ve lost track of how many times I have read it.  I got it at a Scholastic book fair in elementary school.  I’ve been wanting to read it again lately.

#7: Which book did you have the most difficulty reading?

22999438

I could not stand this book at all.  It was one of my first NetGalley titles and I could not get through it.

#8: Which book in your TBR pile will give you the biggest sense of accomplishment when you finish it.IMG_20151002_185212War and Peace would definitely give me the most feeling of accomplishment.  It’s such a big book and it has been on my TBR since college (I graduated over 6 years ago…)

An as for people to tag…  I tag EVERYONE!  Go for it!
