WWW Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On A World Of Words.
Each week we answer the following three questions:
-What have you recently finished reading?
-What are you currently reading?
-What are you reading next?
I had a great week filled with Sarah J. Maas. I finished up the last two audiobooks of the Throne of Glass series that I have (QoS is too expensive for me right now) and then started and finished A Court of Thorns and Roses in anticipation of A Court of Mist and Fury coming out in less than a month. I also started and finished Too Late by Colleen Hoover. She wrote this story on Wattpad in installments as a thank you to her readers. It was superbly intense and pretty graphic.
Currently I am reading Seveneves by Neal Stephenson. I had requested this ebook from the library based on the recommendation from Bird, author of Shattered Blue. I normally don’t go for the heavy sci-fi, space travel type books but so far it is proving to be very good. It’s rather long (over 800 pages) so it will take me awhile to get through. For that exact reason I have set Passenger by Alexandra Bracken off to the side after only getting through 30 pages. I also started doing an audiobook re-read of the Premonition series by Amy A. Bartol beginning with Inescapable.
Because I am in the middle of a very long, dense book I don’t have any books to put forth for my Up Next section. More than likely I will still be reading Seveneves by next Wednesday.
What have you been reading lately?
I’m just about to start the Throne of Glass series 😀 I have no clue what it is about (I don’t read the synopsis before I read a book) but everyone’s recommending it lately so I’m really excited about it!

I hope you enjoy it! It is one of my favorite series! And I can’t wait until book 5 comes out this fall.

I started Too Late yesterday, didn’t want to put it down. It’s VERY intense for a CoHo book.

I forgot to include Too Late in mine! Man, that was an intense ride. But I loved it! I hope she has something more in store for us!

I need to make some kind of “book releases” calendar. I’ve managed to forget about The Raven King and the 5th Throne of Glass book coming out soon!
That is a great SJ Maas week! Reminds me of the brilliant week I had marathoning the whole ToG series having discovered Maas through ACOTAR (and surely that’s got a 2nd book I should put on my releases calendar…).
Thanks for visiting my WWW post earlier (https://clairehuston.wordpress.com/2016/04/13/www-wednesday-13th-april-2016/) and happy reading!

The 5th Throne of Glass book isn’t out until the fall but her sequel to ACOTAR comes out May 3rd though! It’s called A Court of Mist and Fury. So excited for that!

I really really need a calendar. With alerts. I just remembered the sequel to An Ember in the Ashes must be out soon too! Too many books!! 🙂

So many books coming out soon! If you read and liked The Wrath and the Dawn, that sequel is out the same day as The Raven King!

Oh noooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! That’s ANOTHER one!! I think I’m going to have to sweep away everything I’d planned to read in May and start a new shelf in Goodreads to help me keep track of the new releases.

I have a bunch preordered throughout the year so my May will be filled with reading those new releases that come out at the end of April and May. I keep a Good reads shelf of my preorders so I know what’s coming and have them marked in my planner lol.

I love Passenger! I hope you enjoy it!
You’ve had a fantastic SJ Maas week! I need to reread ACOTAR, but I have so many books to read *cries in corner*. What did you think of the audiobook for it? I’ve thought about getting it and reading it that way, but I wasn’t sure if the narrator was any good.
Here’s my post for the week. Have a good reading week! 🙂

The narrator for ACOTAR was pretty good. She has a similar style to the narrator for Throne of Glass if you’ve listened to those. I really enjoyed listening to it.

That’s good to know! I might have to get it.

I can’t do any book for 800 pages. I get so anxious that I can’t finish it in a decent amount of time. (Dumb, I know!) Wish you the best with your reads!

I need to read Too Late! I think I may attempt the Throne of Glass series again soon and pick up my copy of Crown of Midnight. I don’t want to completely abandon the series yet until I at least give it another chance.
Seveneves, yay! I wish I could make better progress in it. It’s so depressing that I’m not, especially because I really love it so far. Blehh. I’m only a little over 200 pages in.

I also don’t usually go for the heavier sci-fi however I am currently reading The Martian by Andy Weir. While their is quite a lot of scientific detail, I am still really enjoying it for the character, drama and humour of it.
