Happy May everybody! I’m so glad that spring is really kicking into gear. I’m really excited for the lilacs to start blooming and filling the air with one of my favorite spring smells.
So, I originally had zero plans to do any sort of TBR posts for this year since I’m taking this year to chill and take things at a slower pace. But there are a few books that I have been really in the mood for that I would like to read this month so I might as well do a PROPOSED TBR post. I’ve been feeling more in the mood for adult books so I’m going to read a mixture of adult and YA this month. Still sticking mostly with fantasy because it’s my favorite genre.
- Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
- A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas
- The Crown’s Fate by Evelyn Skye (releasing May 16)
- The Song Rising by Samantha Shannon
- A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab
- A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
- Virgins by Diana Gabaldon
- Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness
- After You by Jojo Moyes
What are you hoping to read this month?
I really want to start reading V.E Schwab’s series! I also want to read The Pattern Scars, by Caitlin Sweet, which is another adult fantasy novel. I’m really in the mood for fantasy haha!

I need to read A Man Called Ove. I’ve had a copy for awhile and everyone says it’s fantastic.
Ok, so I didn’t read the second book in that Maas series. Everyone is talking about the book 3 release today. Should I give the second book a try? Is it worth it? I liked the first book. I am just terrible at continuing series, especially when the release of the books are spread so far apart.

I’ve seen so many good things about A Man Called Ove that I finally gave in the other day at Target to get it haha. I’m hoping I like it as much as everyone else. I think that if you liked the first book you should definitely read the second one. I liked the first book but LOVED the second book so I’m really excited to see what goes down in book 3. I think with this one you will be safe in continuing because book 3 is the final book in the original series. The books coming after that are spin-offs.

I’m so bad at TBRs but it’s hard to resist making them. So many good books on your list! I loved Shadow of Night and A Conjuring of Light, and can’t wait to read ACOWAR too.

Awesome TBR! I hope you get to read them all. I can’t wait to read The Crown’s Fate. I think I’m going to hold out a bit longer before picking up the Song Rising. I kind of want to wait until the next book comes out so I can binge them like I did with The Bone Season and The Mime Order. Can’t wait to see what you think about A Man Called Over. I got that book to and it’s been on my TBR for awhile.

Thanks! I’m really looking forward to reading them all and making progress on some series that I’ve gotten behind on.
