Bout of Books: Day 4 Update

Another day down for Bout of Books!  While I didn’t read as much as Tuesday and Wednesday, I still had a fun day of reading.

UPDATE

Number of Pages Read: 222

Total BoB Pages Read: 1,338

Books Read From: The Darkest Corners (page 114 to the end)

Audiobook Re-reads: Mansfield Park (17-77%)

Yesterday I had to give up an hour of my reading time to mow my parent’s yard for some extra cash for our little trip this weekend.  My main goal for Thursday was to be able to finish The Darkest Corners and I met that goal.  It was a really good book.  A little slow in the beginning but once it got towards the middle and end it really picked up.  Lots of twists and the ending was something I did not see coming.

BoB Books Finished:

  • The Raven King by Maggie Stiefvater
  • Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo (audiobook re-read)
  • Never Tear Us Apart by Monica Murphy
  • Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo (audiobook re-read)
  • The New Guy (and Other Senior Year Distractions) by Amy Spalding
  • Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo (audiobook re-read)
  • The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas

Today will be another light reading day because my hubby graduates tonight!  So excited that he is finally done with school.  Then tomorrow and Sunday will also be pretty light with reading because we are heading up to Duluth for my brother-in-law’s graduation.  We love being in Duluth and on Lake Superior so we will be spending most of our time out and about doing things.  We’ll be staying the night up there on Saturday so I will be reading when we have down time in our hotel.  My goal for the rest of BoB is to finish my final book of Option #2 TBR – Braving It by James Campbell.  I just started it this morning on the commute to work and although I didn’t get to read very much of it, I think I will really like it.

I did not participate in yesterday’s challenge so this is the end of my post for Thursday’s update!
